Be among the first to learn how to use Rockport VAL, a new web-based valuation tool.  Rick Trepp, founder of Trepp, LLC and Rockport, a leading provider of software solutions for commercial loan mortgage origination, underwriting, securitization and asset management, has collaborated with Moody’s Analytics to develop a web-based valuation tool that allows users to:

  • Access from anywhere using any device (support Chrome and Firefox)
  • Multiple users accessing the same property at the same time (imagine the time savings when building larger models)
  • Send property files by sending a secure link (no large attachments via email)
  • Fantastic reporting, dynamic stacking plans, and auditing of your inputs that are clear and easy to use

ACG’s Boot Camp program is an intensive study of the industry leading valuation software instructed by ACG Professionals’ consultants, experts who use the software on a daily basis. This course is a comprehensive study structured for not only first time users but also for those who need more than just basic training. The goal of this course is to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the software so that students enter the marketplace with a proficiency level that will distinguish them competitively for the best industry jobs.

The successful completion of this program will result in students achieving the following desired outcomes:

  • Strong working knowledge of the Rockport VAL software program.
  • Ability to model complex office and retail assets.
  • Understanding of the financial documents necessary to complete a model.
  • Understanding how the software calculates cash flows.
  • Comprehensive vocabulary of industry terms.
  • Ability to audit models to locate modeling errors and identify underlying assumptions.
  • Interpretation of reports to understand the financial implications of a deal.
  • Thorough understanding of expense recoveries.
