Job Summary:

The Senior Asset Manager Analyst position supports the organization’s mission and values by exhibiting the following:  competency, collaboration, innovation, respect, and accountability. 

Position Summary:

The position is with a leading Atlanta-based private equity real estate company and requires that the candidate work in a variety of capacities primarily focused on providing analytical support for equity investment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Familiarity of different product types including retail, office, and mix-used.
  • Prepare cash flow models / valuation and updating of existing owned assets using Argus.
  • Analyze complex partnership scenarios with preferred returns, tiered promotes and other “waterfall” analyses.
  • Aggregate appropriate data for use in underwriting a property.
  • Facilitate information flow between owner and third-party providers.
  • Extensive use of Argus and Excel including creating joint venture structures, calculating IRRs and NPVs and creating portfolio reports.
  • Analyze lender term sheets to ensure debt covenants will be met.
  • Prepare and gather research for investment and loan request memorandums.
  • Work with operations team to ensure smooth post acquisition transition.

Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • BA in finance, business or real estate.  At least 2 years of prior hands-on underwriting or asset management analytical experience.
  • Must have excellent writing skills.
  • Advanced computer proficiency. Great Excel skills a plus.  Will teach Argus, although prior Argus training and regular usage a plus.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, communication and management skills.
  • Ability to travel based on client demand (estimated less than 15% travel).
  • Work under tight deadlines and in a team environment.
