Position Summary:

The position is based in Dallas, Texas.  The acquisitions Vice President will lead the major underwriting, research and execution functions and will play an integral role in all aspects of the investment process including research, acquisitions, financing, asset management and due diligence.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create valuation models
  • Prepare presentations to the executive committees for asset repositioning, hold/sell analysis, disposition, acquisition, and large capital projects Write offering memoranda and working directly with operating partners on investment decisions
  • Interact with external advisors, operating partners and third-party consultants during transactions
  • Assist with due diligence
  • Ongoing review of governing documents – partnership agreements, loans, leases at property, complex joint venture agreements, and approved reforecasts
  • Abstract lease documents, loan documents or other legal documents as such tasks surface

Qualifications/Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • BA in finance, business or real estate a must. Strong academic success a requirement.
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in commercial real estate, private equity, investment banking, or a related field
  • Strong quantitative skill sets: accounting, quantitative and financial modeling
  • Strong writing and communication skills: ability to develop clear, concise written analyses on a variety of companies and industries
  • Advanced computer proficiency. Must be very strong in ARGUS and Excel.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Work under tight deadlines, good multi-tasker and enjoys working in a team environment.
