Position Summary:

The Vice President position in Asset Management is responsible for maximizing real estate value by developing and executing business plans on assigned real estate projects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Eight to ten years of experience in real estate management; or
  • Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.


 1.      Asset Management

  • Maximize value of real estate through execution of business plan as well as outside-the-box thinking to create sense of place, drive traffic to asset or otherwise improve asset
  • Lead teams made of people from the following groups, which may be in-house or third-party and vary from asset to asset, to ensure goals are met on time and in accordance with business plan assumptions:
    • Leasing
    • Construction Management
    • Creative
    • Property Management
    • Property Accounting
  • Accountable for creating high-functioning team environment, where feedback is shared by all team members
  • Review and supervise Analysts and/or Associate(s) to ensure:
    • Accurate lease and asset analysis, reforecasts and Property Updates
    • Compliance with leases, loan documents, joint venture agreements
  • Responsible for review and understanding asset financial statements
  • Remain current on market for each asset to, reporting to senior management periodically
  • Consult with Acquisitions during due diligence to provide high-level feedback on market leasing assumptions, operating expenses, staffing and business plan
  • Prepare Business Plan, reforecasts and property updates as needed for presentation to the Investment Committee
  • Uses or identifies innovative technology to improve asset efficiency and/or experience

2.      Management

  • Supervise and mentor Analysts, Associates, and Administrative Assistants to perform tasks of Asset Management team to facilitate greater productivity within the group
  • Lead and be accountable for project execution through oversight of leasing, construction, creative, property management, property accounting and other cross-functional team members working as part of each asset team

3.     Networking/Professional Affiliations

  • Encouraged to keep professional designations or training current
  • Maintain active participation in at least one industry association, including occasional attendance at local events and training seminars.
